Youth Ministry and Adult leadership training started

After almost 6 months, finally, we were able to start our youth afternoon fellowship and leadership training. Floyd takes charge of the leadership training and I'm the one taking charge of the youth afternoon fellowship.

We started last June 25. Five students came, most of them were late because it was raining hard that day. I emphasized during the meeting that all teenagers ranging from 13 to 19 years old are invited to come that afternoon. Others who are over age kept on staying with the group and I told them that it's time to move on. Let's give the ministry to our youth, so they too can participate in building God's Kingdom.

Since it's our first day, we started to list down all teenagers in the church and I assigned them to pray for the other teenagers who are not with us. In our list, we have 6 active youth students and 8 inactive youth students. We prayed that we will soon reach out these inactive students.

The first five youth students were:
1. Kathylene Estember
2. Janice Embiado
3. Kathlyn Embiado
4. Jeza Shine Ballados
5. Reggie Bismonte

Then during our second meeting Clarina PardeƱas joined us, third meeting, Joy Embiado came and on our 4th meeting Rosella Panes, Sheryl Suclatan and Mary Jane Bismonte joined us.

On our first two Sundays, we discussed the overview of the Christian life and last Sunday, we started our first lesson on our Discipleship Curriculum. We discussed that Spiritual Babies should grow. During our discussion, I asked Mary Jane if she has already accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and she said no. So I told Reggie to take charge in explaining to his sister God's plan of Salvation. I will follow up Mary Jane's decision on Sunday. Reggie is already teaching Sunday School - preschool. He's the only one involved in the ministry.

These young people will soon be trained through CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) so that we will soon reach out other kids in the community.

Starting all over again is never easy, but with God, nothing is impossible.
